Dawn is a former wedding and couples photographer based in Bend, Oregon. She spent years fine-tuning her craft and after a over a decade of shooting full time she closed her books and pivoted into the education space - providing resources for other photographers!
Her work has been featured in many popular publications from Junebug Weddings to Martha Stewart Weddings and Green Wedding Shoes to Style Me Pretty. She has received awards like "Best Wedding Photography Workshops To Attend" and "Best Lightroom Presets for Wedding Photographers" by Photobug.
We are so excited to have Dawn hanging out with us ALL WEEKEND LONG including an hour long teaching session (on scaling your business and editing) and an hour long Q&A!

Carissa is a documentary wedding & elopement photographer from Edmonton, Alberta. Her trademarked documentary style photography is timeless and evokes emotions that help her clients remember exactly what their wedding day was like. She encourages her clients to not worry about the latest trends but to stay true to themselves.
She is featured on Wezoree and has earned their "Top 5 Photographers in Edmonton" award. She has been featured on the cover of Blush Magazine and in the online publication of Rocky Mountain Bride.

Welcome to the Mercer Clubhouse, in the heart of The Rocky Mountains!
Located in Canada's mountain playground, Canmore's Mercer Clubhouse was custom built for complete flexibility. With its enormous windows overlooking the Three Sisters mountains, the Clubhouse has been thoughtfully designed for gathering and entertaining. It holds 8 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, two theatre rooms, a large open concept living area and a 480 sf patio with your own BBQ, seating area and two hot tubs.

These styled sessions will happen at sunrise! We'll leave extra early (don't worry, we'll have a grab-n-go breakfast and coffee for everyone!) and head up a beautiful mountain. It won't be too long of a hike! We'll have two couples, one will be more elegant and classic, and other will be vintage western. We'll split everyone into two groups and switch halfway through.

We'll have two couples for this styled shoot. One will be in the main kitchen baking cookies and lounging on the couch together. The other will be in the kitchen downstairs mixing cocktails, eating pizza, and playing boardgames!

The E&B Retreat is for female photographers who are ready to take their businesses to the next level, attract their dream clients, and learn from a community of like-minded women. It’s designed to serve photographers who have been in business for at least one year and are looking to take their business and portfolio to the next level. If you're ready to be encouraged, learn the business strategies that have helped us, and meet your new business besties, we want to see YOU there!
Due to the venue's capacity, and wanting to keep the intimate girls weekend vibes, we are only selling 13 tickets. If you want to come, don't wait to purchase your ticket!
How many tickets are available?
Yes! We will offer 4 different payment plans. Completely up to you which one you want to do! You'll have the choice of 1 payment, 2 payments, 3 payments, or 4 payments. Full payment will need to be made by April 8, 2025. There will be no extra cost to choosing a plan with more payments.
Are there payment plans?
No. Unfortunately due to the intimate “sleepover style” nature of the retreat, they are specifically designed for women.
Can men purchase a ticket?
All ticket sales are non-refundable. In the event that something comes up and you can no longer attend, you are responsible for selling your ticket to another female photographer. If you are unable to attend and cannot find someone to buy your ticket, you are still responsible for the entire ticket amount. Please make sure you are 100% able to attend and aware of this policy before purchasing a ticket.
What is the refund/cancellation policy?
Yes, yes, yes! We have two of our incredible mama friends coming to cook delicious food for us all weekend! All meals, snacks, and drinks will be provided. We'll also be going out for dinner one evening. This meal and one drink will be covered for you. If you are wanting more than one drink then you'll need to cover this.
Is food included in the ticket?
Yes, of course! One of our personal chefs ;) cooks gluten-free meals regularly for her family so she will be there to make incredibly delicious gluten-free meals for you! There is a section in the sign up form to let us know your food allergies.
Do you accommodate food allergies?
You can fly into Calgary International Airport (YYC). If we have enough attendees from out-of-province we will arrange transportation.
What airport do I fly in to?
Smoking cigarettes or marijuana is not permitted in the house or on the premises. We ask that you please refrain from smoking marijuana/eating edibles while attending our retreat. We want to respect the home that we are staying in and not party too hard!
Is smoking or alcohol permitted?
The home that we are renting is quite large and can host 20+ people. However we have limited space for attendees because some of our speakers and vendors will be staying with us as well. Because of this there are no solo rooms available. However we do have 7 solo beds available (you'll be sharing the room) There is two rooms with full size bunk beds. One has space for 4 and the other has space for 3.
