I recently had the pleasure of photographing Dustin and Carlee’s engagement session, and what an adventure it was! As they prepare for their wedding in Neerlandia, Alberta, next week, I’m excited to share some highlights from their fun engagement session.
We started off in a beautiful field complete with small rolling hills. Dustin and Carlee enjoyed some Jones drinks while sitting in the tall grass and wildflowers. It was perfect! The sun was casting a warm glow, creating a romantic and whimsical atmosphere. They laughed, embraced, and shared sweet moments together.
Next, we ventured to a different location that required a bit of a trek… We waded through tall grass and weeds, our legs getting scraped by all the thistles! But upon reaching a dirt road, we discovered, to our amusement, that there was an easier pathway we could have taken! Despite the detour, it added a touch of adventure to the evening and gave us all a good laugh!
The session continued with an outfit change, and we headed to a serene lake. I had Dustin and Carlee step out onto a dock that gently rocked with every movement, adding a playful dynamic to the photos. As if on cue, a few people needing to use the dock to exit their kayaks joined in on the fun, joking about photobombing or lending us their kayaks. The lightheartedness of the moment was contagious, making for some candid and joyous shots.
The entire experience was a blend of laughter, love, and beautiful scenery. Dustin and Carlee’s chemistry is undeniable, and it was a joy to capture their love story. As their wedding day approaches, I’m eagerly looking forward to documenting the next chapter of their journey together. Here’s to a beautiful wedding and a lifetime of happiness for this wonderful couple!
